Gardening 2020 the deck addition

Image
So we've been in a stay at home quarantine for the last 2+ months. And it is now June, I need to get on this garden thing before someone thinks I don't want my box. I have planted my herbs in their homes aka pots on the deck.  Seeded the dirt and then covered them in seran wrap. It worked like a charm. The plants are coming through the dirt and its getting warm enough to uncover them and let the sunshine on them. I don't know why some of the herbs come back every year but others don't. The chives are already ready to cut. Will add more pictures as the herbs grow. then will need to figure out what to do with them once they are in full bloom. Going to google how to freeze fresh herbs.

Fishing in the Poconos

So who's up for fishing, Branden. We went and purchased a new firshing pole that came with everything. What could go wrong? Everything or I should say the entanglement over and over again. So that pole was a total waste. We did find the old, I mean really really old, fishing poles from when I was a kid. They will need the reels replaced but then they will be good to go. Hoping he has better luck the next time.

Graffitti HIghway, Centralia PA

As unual as this attraction is in Central Pennsylvania, it is a pretty cool place to go. Sadly, like a lot of history this one is going to be buried not in politics but in dirt. I am just glad that we made it before the dirt was brought in to cover the abandoned stretch of road known as "Graffiti Highway aka RT 61." This is located just outside of Centralia, Pa also known as a modern ghost town. Most of the people have left, I believe there are only 3 families left in the town. On another trip I wouldn't mind going there and see what is left of the town.   Here is your history lesson for today: back in 1962, officals set a fire to clean up a trash dump, little did they know that that fire would still be burning, underground for 58 years. Wow the fires and I are just about the same age. (the fires are just older than me).  One the highway there are large, long cracks and steam/smoke can be seen coming out of it. Though when we went and really we only got to
